Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #1 (again)

Happy Monday! I warned you, didn't I? I just knew I would not be able to stop at a card or two inspired by the color challenge on Dawn McVey's blog. Hee hee...too fun! I have a couple of exciting notes about this card to share.....

First off, isn't she lovely? This is one of the juicy stamps in the set Glamour Girls from Clearly Vintage. If you haven't already, go visit the lovely Cora's site to check out her vintage image stamp sets and also check every saturday when Cora shares free vintage images for downloading. Love her stuff! I thought that stamping this elegant beauty in a hot pink ink made her live happily here on this cheerful card.

The next exciting thing about this card was the fun I had making my own Damask background using Dawn's Damask Designs set from PTI. I discovered that I could pair the images with the grid from the PTI Guidelines set to help me build a fun and playful yet glamorous background! Loving this for sure! Check out my stamping sheet in progress below.

Yes, stamping your own background takes a little time but, like I did here, I stamped a whole sheet's worth but only used a small piece for my card so I have more for other projects later. I hope you enjoyed my offering today and thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
Paper: PTI and DCWV
Stamps: Clearly Vintage and PTI
Ink: SU!
Dies: Nestabilities oval and scallop oval
Punch: Martha Stewart
Other: button from my friend and SU! demonstrator, Elise/mamacow, and ribbon from Offray

What a great idea!
My damask background stamps (and many others) have arrived at the airport, let's hope that they will not be stuck in Customs.
Your background is great!

This is great. I love how you made the damask background. The little clear button is the perfect touch. The colors and crispness of it all is perfect!

I got that edger punch after I saw you using it and I am so glad I did -- it is awesome.
