Also, a first attempt at a pinwheel type of flower. This ribbon (from Michaels dollar bin! YAY) is wire edged and it made arranging the puckers really easy. I have tried this technique before with non wired ribbon and it did not work out well for this newbie. So wired is suddenly my very good friend. I will definitely try this again.
I also sewed in a plastic pearl and covered any mistakes, oops I mean I EMBELLISHED with some stickles around the pearl to finish it off. The flower is stitched to the cardstock and also attaches the little piece of tulle under the tied pink grosgrain ribbon. Just kept stitching until I felt like everything was down tight.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a good one :)

Wow Dana! This looks like you and doesn't look like you at the same time. Maybe its the colors....I don't think I've seen you work with the melons much. But that formed and embellished ribbon is FAB!!! I love it! I see you also added Life to your stash....fun little set, isn't it? Can't wait to see what else you do with both of them! :>
Oh meeee, oh my! What a lovely hat that fine woman is wearing! You: unsure about the use of reds!?! Take that off your disclaimer! Fabulous use of the red spectrum! I love it! Now I'm all full of curiosity about that lovely flower! Must try to make one someday.. For now, I'll just drool over yours! What a fun card!
Well this is my favorite of all the #3 challenge cards. Fabulous! Thanks for leaving the nice comment on my blog. Leslie
