My Time to Create Template Challenge #04

Happy Saturday friends! It's time for another challenge from the My Time to Create Challenge design team! This week is a template challenge so you have tons of amazing 3-D project inspiration coming your way!

the challenge:

my project:
I chose the super versatile Get a Handle on It by Lauren Meader for Papertrey Ink. This cute little box holds almost a full canister of Almond Roca with just a few to spare for the gift giver! LOL!

I also used the super cute stamp set and die cut flowers and leaves from the Tickled Pink Scrapbook set from CTMH. Thanks Leigh!

The clear stamps fit perfectly on the precut die cut white cardstock pieces in the kit for easy silhouetting of your stamped images. Awesome! Speaking of awesome.....back to the template! I cut circle shaped windows in the front and the back panels with my coluzzle. I used a piece of clearly creative cardstock to create windows that the gold wrapped almond roca would peek through.
Swiss dots, foam tape and gems give some great design elements to this gift box. This is the perfect box to decorate on all sides. It reminds me of those stationary note cubes...except better because it's handmade with love. :)

And what gift would be complete without a cute card to go with? Using many of the same elements I was able to whip up a matching notecard.

I hope you'll play along this week using a template to make a gift or something fun for yourself. Three are two FREE templates at Papertrey Ink so give em a try, won't you? :)

Supplies:
Template: Lauren Meader for Papertrey Ink
Paper: Papertrey Ink and CTMH
Clearly Creative Cardstock: PApertrey INk

Dana, I love it! Love the alternating sized bling (that's what first caught my eye), the fact that you can make Swiss Dots sing and it looks different every time, and for showing me that blue and chocolate work well together! Looks like you are in template heaven again.....play on!

Oh wait?! You already have?? Oh my! I just noticed that you have another post.......looks like I better get busy reading and letting you inspire me! :>:>:>

Oh Dana this is fabulous. darn it all - this is one of the few templates I don't own but I think now I must add it to my collection - I love that you added the cut out clear circles and it's great to know that Almond Roca fits perfectly (YUM - one of my faves!). Love your color choices and the floral accents.

This is great! I love how you cut out a window to see the Almond Roca (my husband's favourite treat), and the ribbon through the handle to keep it closed is very clever. The matching card is also a great addition and will make whoever receives this feel very special!
