Many of you may have heard the story of fellow papercrafter, Sarah Anderson, and the sad loss of her son, Henry. Katie Cotton, owner of Paper Makeup stamps has created a stamp in his honer to raise funds for a memorial to be made in his memory. The Just US Girls challenge blog is hosting a special challenge this week to help. Please read all about it on the JUGs blog post and participate if you can.
I chose a simple black and white line print of Henry to match up with the calm snowflake background. Something special about the background...it was done in Microsoft Word using a font called WW Flakes...each letter of the alphabet is a different snowflake. I spelled "HENRY" over and over again to make his very own snowflake DP. It's like a hidden message inside. The "snow angel" sentiment is a font called White Christmas. Virtually all of the card is done in Word and then printed, cut out and adhered to a card front with a simple bow. And now on to what Henry can be when he's all dressed up in color...
This image is by Katie Cotton and truly brings it to life. For more amazing coloring, check out the JUGs post and the links to the design team. We hope you can play along in honor of little Henry. THank you for coming by.

Gorgeous card Dana! How lovely to support Henry's family through the blog and a challenge. I love this image - it's so child-like and youthful. It really epitomizes the fun and innocence of childhood. Thanks for the inspiration!
OMGosh! You are such a clever girl! Love the "hidden message" in your card! Thanks for helping out, Dana!
Dana I love how you did this in B&W - thanks for the tip on the fonts, too - very clever! I know you've had a long couple of days. Thanks for posting this - he's adorable.

OMG, Dana. You created that background in Word by writing Henry repeatedly with the snowflake font? That was so clever of you and the result is gorgeous! I would have never guessed that your card is primarily digi...I LOVE how it turned out! You are the queen of creativity. Albeit for a sad occaion and during a difficult time yourself, you are such a thoughtful girl for taking time to support the Andersons. I hope we can make a positive difference for them during such a difficult time.
