Just Us Girls #14...sketch challenge... {celebrate}

Hey blogland friends!  Well, here we are.  The first JUGs challenge of the new year!  Lisa made a great sketch for us this week!  I hope you'll hop over to the Just Us Girls blog and join in.

OK, confession time.  For some reason, this sketch really threw me.  Seems straight forward enough, and maybe THAT was the problem.  You see, I tend to shy away from straight lines and clean layouts.....I'm kinda messy.  Case in point, check out my "work" area after this card.......

What a stye! And thank goodness you can't see the rest of the mess to the left or the right!  Mental note, clean the work top in 2010!!!  LOL.  Anyway, the card finally emerged.

Helloooooo pink, black, white and sparkle!  How have you been old friend???  I happily found some bubblegum pink embossing powder in my stash and went to work.

Yummy!

Want tons more inspiration?  Check out the JUGs DT along with our Guest Designer, Gabby, for more amazing sketch projects.

OK, thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend!

hahahahahaha....... Your "Hellooooo pink, black, white, and sparkle...." comment had me giggling (after I ogled at your deliscious workspace.....that might also be because I drool after that sweet little room you have and dream of it...um, often!!)...anyways!, had me giggling because as soon as I saw that little pic at the top, as I was reading, all I kept sayin' to myself was "Pink, black, white, and sequins, OH MY!" and you and your card instantly had my heart!! :> lol I know its the 2nd in a good majority of the world, but here, we're still on the 1st, so Happy New Year, my friend!!! My friend who loves her some pink and sparkle!! :> :> Happy sighs.

Bubble gum pink embossing powder? I MUST find that! Your card is pretty and I agree that this sketch has me stumped. I'm going to play around tomorrow. I LOVE your color combo and I have always LOVED that SU stamp. I love the butterfly and how you kind of divided the card in two with sequins. I hope I get inspired tomorrow! LOVE your card!

Great card Dana - love the color combo! If this was "tough" it doesn't show but I loved the pics of your space AFTER - I'm not brave enough to shoot a picture of what my desk looks like when I finish a project LOL. Great job with the sketch.
