Hellooooooo my bloggy friends! I am SO excited to be hosting the sketch challenge over at the Just Us Girls blog this week! We JUGs girls love a good challenge and lots of fun and this week is no exception with a brand new talented guest designer, Stephanie Kraft, and a fabulous sponsor, Dawn Woleslagle of Wplus9 stamp designs!
This is the JUGs sketch and I decided to plug in the colors of a challenge going on at Dawn's blog called Color Cue:
Wheeeee! Is it ok to be completely delighted with your own stuff? I vote yes! ;) This card is inspired by Dawn all over the place! Starting with the stamp set, Funky Flowers, working with the color cue colors, right on down to the CASE vibe I was going for. Dawn brilliantly works that clean and streamlined look all the time and I am hoping this fits the bill.
Oh my satin ribbon JOY! This wide turquoise satin ribbon was a prime candidate for ruffling. It is absolutely luscious in real life and I hoped that it would draw the eye to the funky flowers image stamped in the same electric turquoise. Pops of red with bling flower centers, scallops and buttons make me smile :)
Be sure and check out the JUGs girls and our special guests for all the amazing details on their blogs.
Be sure and stop by the Just Us girls blog and link us up to your project. Dawn has offered up blog candy of TWO stamp sets of winners choice to a participant of the JUGs sketch challenge! Don't miss out on this. Thanks so much for coming by and have a great weekend!

(You do know that I'm now singing a little Debbie...ahem... Deborah Gibson "Electric Blue", right?! I wonder how long that will be stuck there???? lol) Sweet dreams!
Dana,
Great card. I love what you did with the ribbon and your embossing really makes your card pop. Thanks so much for putting all of this together this week...it turned out great!
Such a pretty card Dana! I like all the textures too :) That is one of my favorite embossing folders & you made it shine! Thank you so much for arranging this week's sponsorship & for the amazing sketch to play with :)
Lovely, Dana! Great sketch to work with, too! You really worked the sketch and the color challenge to perfection! The images look great on your card! Great challenge!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this card and I am totally flattered by your kind words. You knocked this one out of the park...and thanks to you I ran out and bought that border punch.
Bravo and thanks Dana!
Oh that is pretty!
Hello, gorgeous and TALENTED one! Even though it's your sketch to begin with, I'm AMAZED at the juice you kicked out and how you took the sketch up a whole 'nother GALAXY of amazing! From the ruffled ribbon to the delicious tactileness of your materials... and FINALLY the bold and happy use of Dawn's images and colors.... Yes, M'am! SCOREEEEEE!
Oooh, love the pleated and stitched satin ribbon, amazing!
Dana, that was a great sketch. I love the way you turned it and the texture and the way you stitched the ribbon!!
Thank you for the comment :) I love your blog! I am a follower now and please feel free to do the same!
Boy is this a great card. I love the ribbon.
Thanks your for the sweet comment on my card. The white boarder isn't a punch. I cut it with my Cricut and the Easter 2010 Cartridge. I used my Gypsy to make it long enough to fit the card. I didn't want you to be looking for something that isn't out there.
Thanks again,
Linda
PS I love your blog.
This is just fabulous!! Love it!
I love the stitching on that great big ribbon! I need to get my hands on one of those stamp sets!
