Just Us Girls #37 ..Let's get digital, digital!

It's saturday!  Time for a new challenge with Just Us Girls.  This week we have teamed up with Lauren Meader with My Time Made Easy.  She has generously provided digital stamps to the DT to use on this challenge.  She is also providing a prize for one lucky challenge participant.  Check out all the details on the JUGs blog and also the links for Lauren's free digital stamps and papers!
I chose the set called Just For You which has 38 images/sentiments to choose from!  I chose the wedding cake and the Mr and Mrs sentiment and opened them in Word. Once I decided to put the sentiment under the cake I added a simple oval shape to the bottom of the cake to make it look like the cake was on a plate.  Word, while not as sophisticated as a true graphics software in some ways,  is a wonderfully easy program to use for digital images. I also used the current sketch from CPS #170 for design inspiration.

I went to town with some fabric dimensional paint to make pearlescent cake accents.  Looks just like frosting!  I found a great peach streamer in the party area of my local craft store and paired it with the breezy blue from the MME Lush collection and a frosty peach flower from prima.

Ready for more digi goodness from the Just Us Girls team?  Check out all the details at their blogs listed in my side bar.  Speaking of JUGs DT, we are wishing a fond farewell to our sweet and amazingly talented Mona Pendleton!  I will miss her and her gorgeous creations on the JUGs blog each week but I will enjoy watching whatever comes next for Miss Mona!

Thanks so much for coming by today!

Oh my gosh Dana I LOVE THIS. I almost used the wedding cake then didn't - I'm really glad I didn't now cause it couldn't begin to compare to this beauty you created. Love the pearls and the shadowed MR and Mrs. All around fabulous! Thanks for making it look so easy.
