Happy Birthday Shabby Tea Room!

Ha-a-a-a-a-a-a-ppy Birthdayyyyyyyyyy!  I am SO excited and honored to have been invited to participate in The Shabby Tea Room's first birthday party!  You do not want to miss this hop... there are prizes (lots!) and creative inspiration (lots!) and I can't wait to see what everyone makes this week!  Without further delay, may I present the inspiration graphic for this week in The Shabby Tea Room....

The Shabby Girls and all of the Guest Designers are excited to challenge you to make your best birthday themed card, banner or gift to celebrate.  Won't you join us?
I chose to make a vintage inspired birthday card using the Spellbinders Nested Pennants die (thanks to my friend Elise, of Mamacow Creations for lending me her Nested Pennants set!)  turned on end to make a party hat.  I don't yet have a the Lacey Nested Pennant die (yet!)  but I was able to make a punched border with my fiskars Apron Lace border punch too.

I was able to cut chipboard with the Spellbinders Standard Scalloped Circles along with the coordinating standard circle to back my sentiment.  I couldn't wait to try out the soon to be released Want2Scrap Nestabling Heart Circles Lavender Pearl.  Pretty huh?  I used some matching Lavender pearls to dress up the "b" and the "d" as well as the top of my card...

It's like fireworks on top of the card.....or reminiscent of a glam sort of Fraggle Rock
(am I dating myself? heee heee!)

Pom-pom trim, stitches, ribbon and tinsel oh MY!  What a fun party this is!  Light your candles and toot your horns...it's time to par-teeeee with the girls of the Shabby Tea Room!  I hope you'll RSVP and say that you can come to the celebration.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
