Just Us Girls Color Challenge #76 with Paper Makeup Stamps!

Welcome JUGs fans to another addition of Just Us Girls Color Challenge!  This week our Lisa is bringing you some gorgeous colors to get your creative juices going AND, big news!  Paper Makeup Stamps is sponsoring the challenge this week!!!!  Be sure and enter your color challenge project over at the Just us Girls blog to be eligible to win a $20 gift certificate to Paper Makeup Stamps!!!  I KNOW!  You don't want to miss this opportunity!

Check out the colors....

I was gifted with the adorable Rainbows and Raindrops bare rubber set.  This set has a ton of sweet sentiments and accessory image stamps!  Looky....

Cute images right!?  I was able to mask the large cloud and stamp the small cloud in a layered fashion very easily.  Since the stamps I received were bare rubber, I just treat them like acrylic stamps by temporarily tacking them to an acrylic block to stamp them with.  (You can also attach a product call EZ mount).  The umbrella was paper pieced (wouldn't this cutie also be sweet for a baby shower?) and detail cut so that I could move it around my card easily.  I love how the raindrops were separate from the cloud stamps and I could chose where and when they would fall.  Because even though I do love rain, after a week of it lately here in "sunny California", on my kid's spring break(!), I'm not quite as tolerant as my card says I am!  ;)

Gratuitous texture shot here...love the herringbone embossing, the messy notebook paper, the stickles lined clouds,  the stitching and that independent umbrella.  FUN!  Pure fun I tell ya!  Thanks to Katie Cotton, owner of Paper Makeup Stamps for sending me such a darling set!  There is a super cute rainbow in the set too that I am itching to stamp with sooooon!

Be sure and catch up with all of the JUGs girls at their blogs along with our
special guest designer for March, Alyssa Scritchfield!

Thanks so much for coming by today!

FUN! The stamps, your material play, and love that the herringbone at the bottom looks like more raindrops pouring down...well, it does to me! ;> And it looks like we're in for another week of rain. Hope you and the girls find lots of new indoor adventures this week. Maybe the Exploratorium? :>

I'm just OVER this RAIN! But kinda like Christmas cards that pop up in the blogosphere in January {!}, I can TOTALLY handle it - because YOUR card is ADORABLE! If ONLY our rain was THIS cute! I'd be FINE! My horses would quit whining! And we'd be contemplating the GARDEN! {Which is currently a pond!} BUT, I digress, your card takes me away to a time, when I encouraged my kids to puddle jump - just for a great, scrapable opportunity! I am DEVOURING all of your spectacular details here! OF COURSE those stamps are SO wonderfully displayed!!! BUT *gasp!* that NOTE paper - MEOOOOWWWWWW! {YOU!}

In spite of the subject - THIS looks like the kind of Spring, I recall! {And CRAVE!}

Hey, congrats on the top mouse award, so honored to be on the "same spot" with you and Stella, both beautiful crafters whom I admired a lot! : )
