Just Us Girls #98..color time!

It's color week, darlings!   Just Us Girls are challenging you to an eye popping color scheme from our dear darling , Elise!  Join us won't you?

I went totally scrap-ular on this one a it was the perfect color set to get some photos that have been milling about my desk for far too long, down on paper with the memories sprinkled in between them using Word and photos from our day fishing at the family ranch...

I am powerless to the enchantment of my two girls trailing after their daddy in the outdoors.  I could snap pictures of their special relationship all day long! This particular day was a rare sunny JANUARY day just right for fishing...wait, huh!??  OK, even in California we don't expect 80 degree days or good fishing in January but lucky for us, we hit a golden day.

This is one of my favorite techniques when I have a story to tell and lots of pictures to share.  Microsoft Word does the trick interspersing your photos throughout a bunch of journaling.  If you haven't tried this before, play around with the "wrap" function when inserting photos into text.  The results are very cool I think.

I used some pretty new swirls from Want2Scrap and took advantage of the space in between the bling to offload some long hoarded microbeads.  I will be chasing these around the craft room for weeks now!

More bling and buttons and bits of goodies to finish off my page. FINALLY! These pictures can be put to bed and I feel great about that!

Check out the Just Us Girls design team for more color inspiration!

So glad you could stop by.  Have a great one!

Yay a scrappy page! And filled with light, color, trademark Dana bits & bling, and your beautiful family!!! I've been missing the scrappy life, not to mention a little paper mojo, so I've been hanging out at Big Picture Classes this week with a free class. Hoping to get some ink onto cardstock this weekend...thanks for some fantastic inspiration! :>

Allz I can say is... "thunk"

Oh, wait, that was my head, hitting the desk. AMAZING! This piece is O-U-T-S-T-S-A-N-D-I-N-G for OH, so many reasons! Soooooooooo many reasons! FIRST of all - just wonderful to see you get yer' SCRAP on!!! Second - SPECTACULAR use of color, and blinged OUT materials, et al... THIRD - the re-claiming of EMOTIONAL REAL ESTATE makes me want to kick my spurs up into the air and possibly stick my tongue OUT and heckle a certain EVIL, selfish and completely MENTALLY ill individual until I pass out from sheer delight.

Opps! - did I type that out LOUD!?!

I hope it feels as good for YOU as it does for me, that's ALL! Enjoy the view of ALL OF THOSE PHOTOS, for they belong TO YOU! YOUR family and THAT is all!

Lastly: 1 of {THIRTY SOMETHING?} - CHECK!

xoxoxo!

FLIPPIN FREAKIN fantastic Dana. OMGosh I LOVE this page. I read the whole journal story and it had me laughing (which triggered my coughing) our loud. I can just picture you trying NOT to touch the one fish but scrambling for the camera to not miss the other shot. Oh goodness what a GREAT memory and so well documented! Way to just KILL this color challenge! SUper Duper!
