Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #4

Whoo hoo! Dawn McVey is back with another color challenge! These are some of my favorites :) I decided to use them for an anniversary card for two dear friends. This heart from the current SU! offerings (thank you my friend ELISE!) is perfect for them as they have been known to call each other "lovey"...isn't that adorable!?

The challenge inspiration piece:

And my card :)
This card is 4.25" by 3.75"...I always forget how much fun a non typical card size is. This one came together really fast with a cute ribbon, a border punch and some glitter aptly named "swimming pool" by Doodlebug that I got at my LSS, Helene's Framing and Scrapbooking. Side note, Helene's is a terrific stop if you are anywhere near downtown Santa Rosa, CA. She always has unique paper craft items. (waving hi, Helene!) And, here was my happy discovery today...I love the decorative sewing pin look popping up on cards and the like lately. I don't own a big box of colored pins BUT I do have a bunch of corsage pins from my once in a while floral design adventures. A little Staz on (in this case) or a little alcohol ink on the head of a white pearl corsage pin comes out great! Copics would work as well. You can get a box of these in the floral aisle at your local craft store really inexpensively. Cool huh?
OK, off to get this in the mail....thanks ever so much for stopping by. I so appreciate the time you spend here :)
Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey kraft
Stamp: SU!
Ink: PTI dark chocolate and Staz on
Ribbon: Perfectly Posh Michaels $1
Glitter: Doodlebug
Border Punch: Martha Stewert
Other: corsage pin

This card is SO cute. Great tip on the corsage pin. I happen to have a fair amount of colored pins but I love the Stazon tip.
