CPS 125 {A garden birthday}

Hi everyone! Be sure and scroll down for the My Time Challenge please. :)
I wanted to quick post this project for the CPS 125 sketch challenge. I decided to use the sketch for a gift bag design.
the sketch:

my project:
I turned the sketch to the right, horizontally and took the liberty of angling the little strip at the bottom of the sketch to accommodate the bookmark I made out of clearly creative cardstock from PTI.

The tissue paper for the flower was stamped with the Friends til the End Papertrey Ink flower stamp and the text is print from a vintage book. The tissue paper flower technique is popping up everywhere these days and it was high time I tried it out. I took hints from the hero arts blog to make mine.

The bookmark was a labor of love and has several layers due to trial and error...a discovery process if you will. It all began with the butterfly cut from clearly creative, basic grey rubon was applied and then alcohol ink. Over the course of the making of the bookmark, it also received a glossy accents layer. The strip part of the mark is two layers of clearly creative sandwiching designer papers from Papertrey and DCWV and another page out of my vintage book that has a poem titled A Birthday...perfecto! The clearly creative was also embossed with cuttlebug embossers before adhering it to anything.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful day!
