Just Us Girls #34 Template.....pomp and circumstance

Hello friends!  Welcome to another week of Template/3-D challenges with Just Us Girls!  We are again being sponsored by the generous Lauren Meader of My TIme Made Easy, LLC.  If you play along with us, you just might be the lucky winner of one of Lauren's templates!  Cool huh?
I opted to use the Pucker Up template from Lauren to create a gift container in honor of my cousin's High School Graduation.  The school colors are purple and white plus grey (GO Petaluma High Trojans! yes, my old alma mater....if you look hard, you can see the "97" on my college tassle above so that makes me a 1993(OMG!) grad of PHS) and Erika's favorite color happens to be purple so color palette choice was easy.  Add in this lovely digi kit freebie from Jen Allyson and swoon!  Isn't that butterfly gorgeous?? The dotted DP is also Miss Jen at work. Thank you Jen!  So what's in the box, you ask?
For now, it's filled with Hershey Nuggets custom-wrapped with printed and stamped mailing labels.  Super cinchy way to make custom treats and favors!  We will also be tucking in some ca$h-ola for our super sweet graduate.

***Side note....I'm having a moment here...this little girl, number 10 of 10 cousins, the youngest of the pack to my oldest of the pack, was, I swear, just a newborn in my teenage arms, was just my 5 year old flower girl, was just a sassy little kid....etc. etc.  Wow!  How the years fly by!  I'm sure her parents feel the same way! Sniff!  sniff!***

Ok, back to the JUGs Challenge!  Be sure to check out the DT offerings at their blogs.

Just Us Girls #26 Template challenge... A Very Happy Birthday

Howdy!  It's Just Us Girls template challenge week with Lauren Meader and My time Made Easy!  The challenge is to use a template to make a project.

Peek a boo!  Here's my mini version of the Slip Cover box that Lauren shared with the JUGs this week.  At full size, the template makes a box to house a set of cards.  I shrunk the template 50% and cut it with SCAL and my Cricut (love!) and it's the perfect gift card holder!
I covered the slip cover panels with a fabbie DP from Basic Grey leaving a little charcoal cardstock peeking around the edges.
Cute huh?  The best thing about the slip cover is that the recipient can open her gift without disturbing the "wrapping"  Love that!  Great design Lauren!

Ready for more?  Check out the JUGs girl...they are sure to delight!

Thanks so much for coming by!  Please be sure to link us up to your project over at the Just Us Girls blog. You could win a template of your own from Lauren Meader and her My Time Made Easy Store!

Just Us Girls #22 template challenge with MTME

Hello!  It's time for another template challenge with the Just Us Girls design team sponsored by Lauren Meader and My Time Made Easy!  Our challenge is to make a project using a template of any sort.  I chose Lauren's Critters with Heart box and the Bouncing Bunny paired with MTME digi papers designed by JUGs girl Kristin Bueter!  Time to start getting a little easter bunny magic up in here!
Here's comes little miss cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail....eeek!  cute huh?  I used my shiny new SCAL software to cut the template for the box and for the bunny parts.  Templates have never been any easier!  Check out this post for a discount code to Canda Crafts for your very own copy of SCAL for your Cricut.
Miss Bunny has been simply accessorized with a prima flower and pink pearl bling from Want 2 Scrap.  I inked the edges of her body cut outs with ink from Papertrey and tried my hand at drawing my own bunny face but you should know that , true to form, Lauren thought of everything and included printable faces for her critters in case you are not feeling artistic or you want to make a bunch of these and have them look the same.
Bouncing bunny can stand on her own here while she watches over the drawer that fits inside this template.  Hmmm....looks like somebody already snitched my jelly beans! .....oh wait!  That was me! ;)
I cut my bouncing bunny at about 50% it's original size since I don't have a Cricut Expression and at this size, she can easily hide inside my daughter's cute easter arrangment she made at a recent 4-H arts and crafts meeting.  Shocking that my girls like to make stuff right?

Are you ready for more template play with the Just Us Girls design team?  Be sure and check out all the details on their blogs:

So are you ready to make something???  Please link us up on the Just Us Girls blog so we can check it out!  Lauren has kindly offered up a gift certificate to one lucky participant!  Check out all of the details on the Just Us Girls blog link above.  Have a great weekend and thanks so much for coming by!  Oh and one last thing.....

Simply the Best

Better than all the rest!  That's my friend for sure!  I wanted to share a little gift set I made for my dear friend's birthday last week.  I tried to channel her clean and simple style and great use of text for this one.  I used a great white font from Heidi Swapp and the glitter chippies from K& Co.
This gift box is made from a template from My Time Made Easy by Lauren Meader called Happy Mail.  It was released on Febuary 1st.  Isn't it cute?  The polka dotted paper is a digital design by Kristin Bueter for My Time Made Easy.  It too became be available on February 1st.

Super cute packaging for a very special girl!  Thanks so much for stopping by today :)

Just Us Girls #17...a template challenge ..I'm stuck on you!

Hey everyone!  It's another challenge with Just Us Girls!  This week it's a template challenge.  Check out the Just us Girls challenge blog for all the details.

We are tickled pink to welcome Lauren Meader as our challenge sponsor this week!  Lauren is the creator/owner/designer of My Time Made Easy and many of you already know and love her products.  Lauren has given the JUGs designers some hot off the presses product to work with (yay!) so we are here to peek it to you.  All of the products (stamps, template and digi papers) will be available for purchase on February 1.  Oh, and did I mention blog candy???  Lauren is offeirng up a $25 gift certificate to her store for this weeks winning challenge participant.  EEEeeeek!  It could be you!  Just use a template to and link us up on the just us girls site.  Lauren has one that you can grab for free if you'd like to try out her templates.  Check it out HERE.

Are these stamps, template and digi papers over the top cute or what??  I had the privilege of working with the Happy Mail template, Love Notes digi papers and Critters with Heart stamps.

These are valentines lollipops dressed up in Lauren's stamp designs and the multi hearts digi paper designed by our won JUGs superstar, Kristin!  I attached the heart digi paper to the back of the lollipop and the stamped and punched critters on the front using glue dots and tied some fun ribbon the the lollipop sticks.  that's it!  So simple, my girls are going to make these for their classmates next month.

The mailbox will be filled with notes and treats for my sweets!

It's big enough to fill with lollipops or a couple of the chocolate marshmallow hearts that my hugs loves.
So are you ready to get in the mix?  First, check out the creative brilliance of the Just Us Girls DT and guest Designers Gabby Arriaza and Lauren Meader through the following links:
THanks so much for stopping by!  HAve a great weekend!
