Just Us Girls #133 color...How cool is that?!
Just Us Girls is challenging you with a super summer color pallette this week! Check it....
In my hometown it's to be in the mid 80's today! Practically feels like summer to me once we pass the 80 degree mark so we are heading to the beach to play but before I run, I wanted to share this fun card for the color challenge this weekend. Love this fun image and and all those included in the Sweet Celebrations set from WD Stamps. Some sizzlin hot buttons from Buttons Galore and More make a fun marquee like trim at the top.
I couldn't resist swiping on some crystal effects to give this popsicle a little *shine*.

Just Us Girls 123 technique week, PDCC118, SSD114 and a really incredible story..
Hey friends! It's the weekend and I am excited to share the latest in challenges from Just Us Girls but even better than that, I was inspired to combine a few great challenges this week in order to better get the word out about this amazing kid named Sebastian and his sweetheart of a teacher. Often times in blogland we come across stories that strike a chord and stir the emotions...this is one such story as the quote at the top of my post first caught my eye at Amy's blog and led me to Sebastian's story. Spare a moment and read about this special boy and you will be inspired by him along with his sweet, caring teacher.
All that inspo led to this card which I am hoping will bring some sunshine via snail mail to Sebastian.

Just Us Girls #91 sketch....You're a lifesaver
Hey Just Us Girls fans. Time for our first challenge in July...can you believe July has already begun? This week is a sketch from Kathryn. You are gonna love this one...
I tapped my stash of Cosmo Cricket Elements from the Snorkel collection. So many cute images in this set. I decided the "lifesaver" element would be a fun way to say thanks to someone and also, that I could replicate the simple design of the life ring onto my card to represent the circle in our sketch.
I had fun trimming myself an ocean wave strip and stringing my thanks mini tag like a tow line from the ring. Couldn't resist adding some turquoise bling from Want2Scrap for a little shimmer on the ocean waves.
The water was sparkling as blue as the bling for real today as the girls and I hit the beach for some fun with friends .... I love summer!

Around my house, as the summer sun is making it's s-l-o-w appearance we have been taken with singing a lot of "here comes the sun, (do do do dooo)" to encourage it to show it's happy and shiny face....but regardless if you have summer sun where you are right now, grab some shades because Want2Scrap™ and PSA Essentials have teamed up to bring you some summer inspired projects today!

My first project is a quick and simple card to drop a note to someone to say "wish you were here" or perhaps to say thank you to the hostess for sharing their beach house vacation with you and your family. I used the Want2Scrap™ Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circle Sm Gold Rhinestones to highlight the cute sand castle stamp from PSA Essentials. The sand castle is from the super cute Anchor's Away set. I also created the custom stamped background paper by stamping with one of the images from the Rosettas set. It's a lovely and ornate set of stamps that is so versatile! A bit of stickles glitter glue, twine and a vintage button was all it took to finish this card off. Now, a second project to tickle your funny bone and to remind us to use every little thing in our stash...

These darling little treasures from the sea, also part of the Anchor's Away set, were too cute to pass up while I was creating for this hop. I also had a treasured bit of silver bling left on my much loved sheet of Nestabling™ Pennants Silver Rhinestones that I had been saving for a while. I also added some 72 Count - Silver Rhinestones - Self Adhesive individual bling to the center area of the pennant.
I love a new bookmark just for fun! Now I admit this one is living in my summer reading book because it makes me giggle but this would also be a great project for the children in your life. But for now....
these guys are sticking with me!
